A Look Back on the Green Futures Lab Gould Gallery Exhibit in April 2025
Check out these photos from our exhibit in Gould Gallery! A monthlong celebration of the Past, Present, and Prospects of the UW Green Futures Research and Design Lab where current and former lab members connected on campus.

The exhibit highlighted the Green Futures Lab’s past work and included opportunities for visitors to participate in activities.
The lab’s work spans decades and has focused its impact on important areas like Active Transportation, Community, Water Management, Habitat Creation and Metabolism/Climate Impacts.
The exhibit even included a biobarge installation with real plants highlighting the extensive floating wetland research the Green Future’s lab has conducted across habitat types and design typologies.
The lab has created opportunities for students to engage in research on a variety of projects, through both the projects of the lab itself and with the internship in partnership with the ScanDesign Foundation. These opportunities provide hands-on experience for students and unique involvement within the Department of Landscape Architecture.
The exhibit brought together past Green Futures Lab interns. The opening night of the exhibit was a great event to celebrate the history of the Green Futures Lab and the many people who have made the work possible!
